Toolbar

The Canuck PR toolbar aggregates feeds from 50 Canadian PR and marcom blogs. Below I have posted a list of all the blogs that are included.

In addition to the RSS News Aggregator, the toolbar includes a number of other features:

- Search Box: You can choose which service to use, including Technorati, MSN, Yahoo!, MSN News, Yahoo! News, Google, Google News and Wikipedia. It also comes with a “highlight pen”. If you put in words in the search box and click on the highlight button, it highlights those words on the current site in your browser.

- Directory: The current list of Canadian PR and marcom has nothing to do with a ranking or a “top list”. It is a list of blogs that I read, have come across or included because of a recommendation or nominations from other. If you have or know of a Canadian PR or marcom blog that is missing, let me know and I will add it.

- PR Resources: A list of links that includes events, associations, podcasts, publications and services.

- News Ticker: The latest headlines from the Canadian PR blogs included in the toolbar.

- The toolbar also comes with the option of adding a few other features including weather forecast (you can input the city), a pop-up blocker tool, an email notifier (works with Hotmail, Yahoo Mail and Gmail) and buttons to open Windows programs such as Word, Media Player or a calculator. With the exception of the search box, all items can be activated/deactivated.

I created the toolbar using a great web service from Conduit.com. If you are interested in creating your own toolbar, I can recommend it. It is easy to do and easy to use.
